I got neoleo to build on archlinux and got it working.
The original oleo package probably ought to be deleted from the repository
since that will not build to completion.
Last time oleo was updated was in 2000 and has had bit rot since then.
A couple basic things that were not documented in neoleo.
1) inside spreadsheet how is it possible to create a spreadsheet that
doesn't yet exist?
2) a visit-spreadsheet command is listed with no keyboard shortcut
in documentation but does nothing when run with m-xvisit-spreadsheet.
As a workaround, I created a .csv file with a text editor
and opened that with neoleo.
I found neoleo was then able to add to the .csv file.
Precision on numbers is huge and for currency unnecessarily so. I'll
search documentation for
significant digits or width commands and see what I can do with those
tomorrow.
I don't know what the default format for neoleo spreadsheets would be or
can be adjusted to inside neoleo yet.
The .oleorc file format works as far as I now understand it.
I hope in future this package gets an info file. If html can be converted
to info, it may be possible to convert the oleo documentation as a base
line and then update it from there.
