Details of a benchmark that I just did, this time without a supervising
application:
6 *.PBM files with 600dpi and good text
call:
ocrad -f -o outN.txt fileN.pbm
my system:
intel i5-750, 2.67 GHz, W7 64bit
time with gcc + cygwin: 39 secs
time with VC++ 2010 32 bit: 16 secs
time with VC++ 2010 64 bit: 12 secs
