Thanks Egmont

I am concerned about redistributing.

I may have just answered my own question, I missed this part earlier:

#ifdef HAVE_LIBDL
/* use dynamic loader to avoid linkage dependency */
#include <dlfcn.h>

It must be okay because it's not statically linked

Trolls go home now, nothing to see here.......

This is not an answer to your question, but might be relevant to you:
According to my best knowledge, GPL requires that *if* you distribute your code, you must make the source available under these terms.  But it does not require to distribute your software at all.  You are allowed to build on top of GPL stuff and keep it for private use.

Hi Everyone

License questions are just troll bait, sorry for asking this, it's just that licenses are so important too.

ncurses calls GPM. GPM is GPL and ncurses is X11.

Is this possible because GPM is at "an arms distance" ? , please say yes :)

If USE_GPM_SUPPORT is set true, does my ncurses application have to be GPL ?

Sorry again-Patrick
