The terminfo entry for putty defines kcan=^C, which unfortunately breaks
Emacs rather badly. Upon pressing C-h C-c, Emacs tells me
<cancel> (translated from C-c) is undefined
With Ctrl-C being non-functional, Emacs is next to unusable. :-(
What is the reason for the kcan=^C definition?
