That's where I see the error, when you do that in a thread with stack
size in the limits between 4 and 8K

I've mentioned that I've tested this on the latest ncurses - I haven't
added available from directory.fsf.org which happens to be 5.5
(downloaded and built today) :).  Is there anything newer that I can
test?
