Hello,

just a few things I noticed with the CVS version of ncursesĀ :

On recent freebsd, one needs to define __BSD_VISIBLE in order to have
access to u_short and such types when _XOPEN_SOURCE is defined.

Still on recent freebsd, it would be nice for the libraries to have
sonames...

Now on sparc-solaris2.8, sometime between 20030510 and 20030719, something
was broken. When the widechar support is enabled, ncurses is not able to
detect the vertical size of the terminal properly (xterm-165 in my case),
and just uses the size defined in the terminfo entry, or the LINES
variable from the environment. It works just fine with the same settings
and terminfo on freebsd. I did not manage to find where this came from,
sorry.

Thank you for all your work on ncurses, which is a great library :-)
