I'm one of the "lurkers" that never gets time to actually use ncurses much
(if at all). I'll live with the spam if I have to, but it would be cool to
not have any.

My biggest complaint is the viruses that the spam brings in, there may be
one that I accidently open.

BTW, since I probaby won't post again for another 2 or 3 years, I'd like to
say "thanks" and "well done" to all the contributors!

Obviously, non of them have activated member-posting-only, then.

I'm the mailing list admin of python-de, which carries only slightly
less traffic than this one, in the two years that I'm subscribed, zero
spam got thru. Using mailman, the mailing list admin can decide wether
to accept/reject/discard non-member posts. I'd recommend to set the
auto-reply to something "Your message was rejected. Only members are
allowed to post."
