[bug-mes] tests and "--with-courage" on mes wip-arm

Hi,

when I do 

$ ./configure --with-courage
$ make V=1
$ make check recheck=true

then eventually I'll get

error:mescc: file not found: "arm-mes/libc+gnu.a":()
exiting...
unhandled exception:error:(("mescc: file not found: \"arm-mes/libc+gnu.a\""))

Apparently, the build script is explicitly trying to avoid building libc+gnu.a 
in the case of courage.

How to proceed?
