Details:
Attached patch fixes a double word ("failed") in an error message.
The second hunk of the patch changes a function name in an error message that
I think is mistaken.
The rest of the patch adds "()" after function names in error messages, for
consistency.
(BTW, IMHO most of these error messages are debugging messages and do not
need to be internationalized.)
