Comment #12 on issue 1620 by address@hidden: Midi overflow with
instrument changes
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=1620
I have a feeling this patch causes a Midi-regression I recently encountered
after upgrade to 2.13.61.
In 2.13.51 I could perfectly attach "voice oohs" and "choirs aahs" to my
choir sheets. When processing the same .ly files with 2.13.61 the songs
suddenly reverted to piano-instrument (which happens to be the first
midi-instrument used (in an all voices piano setting, after which I have a
set seperated per voice (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) with voice oohs for
the 'lead' voice and choir aahs for the other voices.
Attached is a sample of such a setting for a very simple piece with
the 'Soprano' voice worked out.
With 2.13.51 this generates (as expected) a midi-file with
'Voice Oohs' rest 'Choir Aahs(reduced volume)' rest 'Choir Aahs(reduced
volume)' rest 'Choir Aahs(reduced volume)'
With 2.13.61 it turns into
'Piano' rest 'Voice Oohs(reduced volume)' rest 'Voice Oohs(reduced volume)'
rest 'Voice Oohs(reduced volume)'
