Well, those guys should definitely know what they have to do, by
looking into the INSTALL.itely file[1]. LilyPond versions are
released about once a week or so -- there's really no need for Joe
User to directly use the git sources.

[1] IMHO we should add a file `INSTALL.git' to the top level directory
which describes the necessary steps, together with a list of the
required dependencies. Read a texinfo source file is not that
funny. Alternatively, this file could contain a URL to the right
information.
