Hi Daniel!
This results in incorrect beamed stem-lengths as seen the attached image. If you comment out the Y-extent override, the problem goes away. If you comment out only the minimum-Y-extent, the output changes slightly but the problem remains. This has been confirmed in 2.8.1 and 2.9.2.I've reported that bug before (see http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-lilypond/2006-01/msg00146.html), but noone could confirm it. So in a certain way I'm happy about knowing I'm not the only one suffering from that behaviour, even though it doesn't solve anything.
Do you use WinXP like me? I thought this bug self-vanished in one of the latest stable versions on WinXP. Using my curreent machine with 2.8.0 I can confirm the bug with slightly different stems out of order (see attached picture). I'm going to give it one more try on my home machine later this evening.
All in all I think it is a matter of dll's which happen to be present in different versions on my machine, once in lily-dir and once more anywhere else. But for verifying that I'm knowing to less about lilys internal processes.
Kind regards, Thies
