Who are these "most users", I'd like to ask? I mean, certainly I see
the point for figured bass, but chord symbols are much more varied and
certainly deserve the same treatment for the exact same reason.

I'd really like to ask if anyone needs the block chords.

In fact, I will put my money where my mouth is. While, like I said, I
can wait for the jazz articulations, I will pay $50 if the authors
commit to a chord system that is decoupled from actual notes. $50 may
not be much for you but I'm only a student. I hope others will
contribute as well.
