[bug-libunistring] Libunistring make check fails on test-verify

Hello,

After building libunistring 0.9.6 on CentOS 6, I ran `make check` to test it. The only test that failed was test-verify. $BUILD_DIR/tests/test-verify.log contains:

ld: cannot find test-verify.o: No such file or directory
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit statusnFAIL test-verify (exit status: 1)

Any idea why test-verify.o wasn't built? I didn't see anything in the build output that indicated a failure.
