[bug-inetutils] Possible bug in ftpd |

Hi
I'm running my own Linux distribution with Linux
kernel 2.4.22 on a PIII 933MHz processor and 384MB of
RAM. I have inetutils 1.4.2. I run xinetd from the
command line (as opposed to running it from init
scripts) and I have xinetd run ftpd. For some reason,
when I try to transferee large files I get and "Out of
Memory: killed process ftpd(XXX)". The largest files I
could transfer are as big as my RAM (328 MB)
is this a bug or a misconfiguration?
