I tried also with VirtManager, but It runs so slow in my laptop.About MD5, you're true: I didn't check this.

Maybe you should try with qemu instead of virtualbox. The problems
could be there, not in the GNU/Hurd images. And BTW: Have you checked
the md5sums of your downloaded images?
