Personally, I remember someone draw an analogy that linux was like an
airplane, where flushing the toilet could crash the whole airplane and
that's so true.

Thing being that a subsystem in linux failing pulls the whole kernel
down. Hurd does not exhibit this behavior in theory and that's just a
reason for living and getting Hurd to a state where I can use it.
