Details:

For designing and implementing a sound system it might be feasible to port
either just OSS or ALSA (perhaps with OSS on top of it), since these provide
widely used interfaces which would allow using ``tuneful'' software without
requiring further porting.

The device drivers themselves would most probably be implemented directly in
GNU Mach, and then there would be a translator to be installed on /dev/snd
which would provide the various device nodes in there.
