There is Alfred's cross compilation guide at
<URL:www.update.uu.se/~ams/home/notes/cross-compiler> (seems to be down
at the moment), which I adapted into a shell script (which I want to
polish some more before publishing it).

You can compile GNU Mach natively on GNU/Linux.
On Debian, installing the 'mig' package (and the usual build-environment)
should be sufficient.
