Are your disks and partitions detected by the OSKit drivers?  Watch out for
the relevant kernel messages, if they are not there, there might be two
problems:

* If the disks are there, you might have an oskit without the partition
table detection bug fix.  The latest Debian package has this bug fix.

* If the disks are not there, you might not have the IDE driver compiled in. 
How did you build GNU Mach?
