Hi,
I noticed the following error messages when using the auth tools in an xterm:
ludo@hurd:~$ addauth root
Password:
addauth: 85: Cannot add authentication: (ipc/send) invalid destination port
addauth: 348: Cannot get message port: No such process
addauth: 349: Cannot get message port: No such process
ludo@hurd:~$ ids
effective uids: 1000(ludo) 0(root)
effective gids: 100(users) 0(root)
available uids: 1000(ludo) 1000(ludo)
available gids: 100(users) 100(users)
ludo@hurd:~$ rmauth root
rmauth: 85: Cannot get auth port: (ipc/send) invalid destination port
ludo@hurd:~$ ids
effective uids: 1000(ludo)
effective gids: 100(users)
available uids: 1000(ludo) 1000(ludo)
available gids: 100(users) 100(users)
However, this works perfectly when X is not running.
Cheers,
Ludovic.
