Ok, that sounds fine. I looked at the mig in MK-83a (the CMU version the
Alpha port came from) and it has some changes including a different field
about alignment in its data structure. I think if we merge that code into
our mig (and any other improvements there might be), then it's structured
so that where we need to fix the assumptions about alignment it is more
clear how to do so. But I have not examined the mig code thoroughly enough.
