Groan, so much stupidity hurts. Of course it can't work, as a fifo
shortcuts input and output of terms bottom handler. What I wanted was two
pipes, one for input, one for output.
And it seems that term enlarges the input queue dynamically.
So a couple of items don't seem to be bugs but wrong usage.
