You c&p the man pages into your emacs buffer with mach.texi loaded, and
apply the formatting for the functions and data types.  While you are doing
it, you are already learning about the interfaces, and how they work
together.  The external memory management API is in the namespace
memoryobject_* mostly.  Please check kernel_interface.ps which functions it
contributes to it.  (I am using man -l *man to display the man page and copy
with the mouse, there might be more clever ways to do it).

After you did this, an idea should emerge how the functions are logically
grouped together.  This leads to a first menu structure.  If you reached
this point, the additional documented interfaces are already immediately
helpful.

The man pages and everything you need except kernel_interface.ps is in the
mach-info-0.0.tar.gz I posted.  kernel-interface.ps is available from many
mirror places, consult google.com or pick up the pdf at machdocs.org (?).

The existing interfaces documented in mach.texi are pretty much self
explanatory in telling how the formatting should be done.  When you have
something you feel good about, send it my way and I will go over it.

Is this about the answer you expected?  I am not sure this is the kind of
guidance you were asking about, let me know if you wanted to hear something
different.
