In general it is impossible to hide email that has been sent to public
mailing lists.  There are many email archives and it would take
coordination from all of the hundreds of them to accomplish this.  In
a very real practical sense it isn't possible.

It wasn't mail to Paul.  It was mail to bug-gzip which is a public bug
reporting mail address.
