Hi.
gzip-1.3.6 (as well as 1.3.4 and 1.3.5) finally fixes an old bug regarding
broken gz files. I keep one of such files here:
http://people.debian.org/~sanvila/gzip-segfault/zcatme.gz
The error message is like this:
incomplete literal tree
zcat: zcatme.gz: invalid compressed data--format violated
I hope this is not a stupid question: Is such error really conformant
to GNU coding standards? (It seems as if the "incomplete literal tree"
were some sort of debug message which perhaps should not be shown at all).
Thanks.
