Yes, I agree.

I see what you're saying--that, while using modern word processing
software, we tend not to use the enter key and let the software lay out
the text for us.  I would tend to agree, except that we *do* still use
enter (between paragraphs, for example) so that might still make it a
useful key to learn to press whilst typing.  (I'm not saying that I
think it is, I'm just trying to present an alternative point of view.)
