Hi Brandon,
160M gcompris-12.11.tar.bz2
I am tempted to make an argument about gcompris not being worth the 8%
of the total size it "comprises" :), but I guess that's not exactly fair ...
65M linux-libre-3.7.1-gnu.tar.xz
I don't see the point of include linux-libre in gsrc, specifically.
Granted it's a GNU "package", but ... not really. It's a kernel. gsrc
isn't an installable-from-scratch system, as we all know, so it seems
like just a waste of space to have it there?
I don't see hurd packages in that top 20 list, so I guess it doesn't
really matter, but am likewise skeptical of those. Can they actually be
used within the gsrc framework?
23M glibc-2.17.tar.gz
And likewise with glibc. Unless gsrc packages actually link against the
gsrc-installed glibc?! Can that possibly work? It never has for me,
but I gave up trying years ago, so maybe ...
except Boost and Cairo.
What depends on Boost? (Just curious.)
I'm also toying around with the
idea of moving all non-GNU deps to being external.
Makes sense to me.
Thanks,
k
