Hi, here is the log showing what happens with "./configure --disable-shared"
(with LN_S set to "ln" as before). It seems to encounter the same problem.

Can you send the output of configure and also try it with
./configure --disable-shared
The failed link problems are most likely generic to cygwin and
not specific to GSL.
