Follow-up Comment #22, bug #35422 (project grub):
Can replicate this issue on Ubuntu 13.10 (Grub 2.00-19ubuntu2.1).
Booting the system via SYSLINUX livecd works, have used this method to provide
dmesg output as requested.
Have also provided card details below for reference.
Please let me know if there is any additional information that would be useful
to troubleshoot this.
