Hello,
I have small suggestion for GRUB.
Background: during using of GRUB in the production-state computers for dual
boot, I found a couple of curious, but unexperienced users, is playing with
the starting menu, sometimes with catastriphical consequencies. So I would
recommend to 'hide' the on-screen help under menu with certain option. One
possible solution you can see in the included patch. The included menu
command 'hideoptions' is leaving the command usability intact, but it is
hiding the help only, so sysop can use commands, but curiosity of the
end-users is not provocated any more.
The patch has been done against grub-0.92-1mdk.rpm (Mandrake Cooker).
I hope, it will be usefull...
Regards, Jan.
