Question:

Does grub have native ntfs file "read" support ?????

Could I put the "grub" support files in my ntfs partition ????

Suggesiton / Question:

Because of the wierd way of disk geometries, the mbr uses up a certain amount
of "wasted" disk space. In the old days that used to be only about (1) meg,
but with larger drives, that has grown to (8)+ meg.

The old os/2 boot loader was designed very cleverly to utilize that "wasted"
space. All config info was saved in the (1) meg mbr.

Could grub be enhanced to do the same. Thus making it totally independent
of the need for any file system at all ??????

In other words you could install and configure grub without any partitions ????

Suggestion / Question ???

I wish somebody would add usb/firewire boot support to
somebodies boot loader, since obviously very few if any bios's will
support it .....
