  Please make your patch as small as possible. A single huge patch is
a pain for maintainers, because we may want to apply part of the patch
and it would be difficult to understand what each part of your patch
does (as you know :).

  I'd also recommend that you make a diff for the current CVS version
instead of an old test release version. If your patch is based on
0.5.96 or older, it is unlikely that we can apply your patch
cleanly. It would be better to use at least 0.5.96.1 as the original
source code.

  Yeah, as you guess, I have a strong objection to adding a VGA
graphics interface which is simply useless and makes the code
spaghetti-like. GRUB will support a graphical interface for another
reason eventually, but I don't want to add the support at this stage.
