afmtodit is crashing

Dear Sir:

First, thanks for this wonderful software!!

Having succeeded in using the basic fonts, I am now trying to install a font 
for usage by Groff.

I found this web page with a description on how to do it in a unix box.

I have installed perl for windows.

However, the following errors occur when I run afmtodit
