bug#35960: grep execution hagns and does not display any output

Dear gnu team,

I do not receive any output when executing  the following grep command:
$ grep -H get_excel_report.py

I checked the usage of the command (see field attached grepHelp.jpg). No 
information is displayed after the execution.
After 20' is still hanging as displayed in the grepHangs.jpg
