[bug-grep] working on cosmetic patch

Hello,

before the holidays I was suggesting a cosmetic patch
for grep, intended to make the coding style consistent
in all source files.

The problem is that a lot of things differ between
source files, so it is hard for me to determine the
'right' thing to do.

Is it possible to just gnuify all the sources using
indent --gnu-style or similar? It would be easy to do
and maintenable. Am I missing something here?
