Follow-up Comment #1, bug #22655 (project gnustep):
A careful analysis shows that it is not just bold, using xlib with a not-AA
font reveals that selecting text draws it shifted by a small amount
vertically, creating the illusion of thicker text. Fred knows about that, we
discovered it at Alpenstep!!
