Details:

the following GNUmakefile snippet used to work. it would install the
resulting bundle into /home/rburns/GNUstep/Library/ApplicationSupport/GSTest
in my case.

GNUSTEP_INSTALLATION_DIR = $(GNUSTEP_USER_ROOT)
BUNDLE_INSTALL_DIR = $(GNUSTEP_USER_ROOT)/Library/ApplicationSupport/GSTest

with recent changes to gstep-make the bundle now gets installed into

/path/to/this/GNUmakefile/GNUstep/Library/ApplicationSupport/GSTest

currently my GNUSTEP_USER_ROOT variable is set to 

/home/rburns/GNUstep
