Follow-up Comment #4, bugs #11936 (project gnustep):

I'm fairly certain that this particular behavior on -textDidEndEditing:'s
part is correct. A mechanism for detecting when the view indirectly loses
focus might be useful, but -textDidEndEditing: isn't that mechanism. I'll
investigate a bit more and then likely close this bug.



Having some mechanism for detecting this does seem useful, although I can't
really think of any specific use. :) Stefan: Could you give a specific
example of when you want to detect this?



(In theory it might already be possible to detect this by tracking some
notifications; if not, we might want to make sure that it is possible.
However, either way, don't expect a reliable implementation any time soon.
Tracking this is basically the same thing as tracking window focus, and we
all know how reliably that works. :/ )
