I just did change the handling of caps lock for the X11 backends and this 
problem is gone for me. The problem may remain for the WIn32 backend, but I 
currently have no way to test this.

Summary:  CapsLock causes selection extension

Original Submission:  1. open editable text view with some text

2. move cursor somewhere

3. turn on capslock

4. click at another location as if you wanted to change cursor position (do not 
drag) --> selection is extended as if you were holding shift



Same behaviour can be observed in NSTableViews.
