Summary: gpbs crashes when pasting large data

Original Submission: gpbs crashes when pasting long strings. When I select and
copy large text (you can write some large file in Ink or select a > ~9kb email
in gnumail) from gnustep into some plain x application, gpbs crashes with:

2003-04-23 19:11:59.895 gpbs[2821] Re-raising signal 11.

or with:

XIO: fatal IO error 14 (Bad address) on X server ":0.0"
after 51 requests (50 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

or it will paste half of copied text and half of garbage.
