I created a new home page just for the documentation project. I just
threw it together this afternoon as a one-stop info resource for the
people who keep joining us mid-project. It is a compendium of all
instructional material posted so far on the list.
Location: http://www.gnu.org/doc/doc-team.html. Note that this page is
unlinked to the rest of the Gnu Project web site. Can only be
accessed through the Gnu Press project "homepage" link on the Savannah
project site or via direct URL.
*Please* fact check this page, especially Simon and Jim. Did I get
everything right? Especially, the Tex and progromming-related
info. Anything I forgot to add?
One problem is I threw the page up on the Gnu web site because it was
quick & convenient, but other people don't have access to update
it. Can we find some place to host it that more people have access to?
Or should people just email me updates?
We could also start using the "Project/Task Manager" link on the Gnu
Press project page on Savannah. This would be a good way to keep track
of multiple To-Do lists and other such things as we start to work on
more than one thing at a time. Then people can check off and leave
comments as they go. This is useful to keep track of different
things, such as working on font-changing, or different manual
streams.
Do people want to start using that part of Savannah, or would they
rather stick with a straight email list, no need to visit project page?
