Hi

I am having a Y2K style problem with GNUPod not finding the track
numbers of my mp3 files created with the "Grip" GUI, using bladeenc as
the encoder. I am using gnupod 0.97, installed from a tarball.

Basically, GNUPod starts to get the track numbers right only once they
are two digits, ie. tracks 10--nn are displayed in the correct order on
the iPod, but tracks 1--9 are displayed in alphabetical order. As you
can see below, tracks before track 10 have a "songnum" entry of "0",
even though they have id3tags with track numbers 1-9 (verified by
id3tools and id3ed):

  <file addtime="3191780453" album="Celebrity Skin" artist="Hole"

Note: This is not a problem affecting only a specific album or mp3
track. Every mp3 I own with ID3 tags has this problem when it is
transfered to the iPod. At the moment I am using a workaround of using
id3tools to manually change the ID3 tag track numbers of my files ie
from 1 to 11, 2 to 12, 3 to 13, ... 10 to 20 so that they will display
and play in the album order on iPod, but this is time consuming.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

thanks,
Felicity
