With this and your comment in mind, how about if we add -Wswitch-default to build-aux/gcc-warning.spec? It doesn't seem to be of much use in practice.

​I find them useful and switch them on, but given that others disagree, I like your suggestion as it makes things consistent, and less likely to confuse those who share my taste.
