No, sadly (I never posted the hinted patches, and even as of today,
I have none to post, not even half-finished). Even more sadly, I'm
not going to write them anytime soon. So, if you or anyone else
wants to pick up the ball and resurrect the idea, feel free to; as
for me, I'd be happy to see this idea finally implemented (and once
it is, I'd start covering the existing Automake syntax check to the
use of the new framework).
