Good idea.  Cross-referencing like that may well help
those who are new to the module/project.

All fine.  ACK.  I would elide the "." on the git summary line,
just because I'm in the habit (it's required to be omitted
in coreutils).  But here, we don't enforce that, because some
people really do like to end a summary line with a period.
