If we're heading in that direction, how about having
parallel build-aux/snippet and modules/snippet
subdirectories? For example, rename build-aux/c++-defs.h
to build-aux/snippet/c++-defs.h.
Otherwise, I worry that "snippet" would have no obvious
relationship to build-aux, for readers who are not already
well-versed in gnulibery.
If renaming the build-aux files is too extreme, how
about using "build-aux" as a module prefix instead?
For example, rename the arg-nonnull module to build-aux/arg-nonnull.
Then, the name of the new directory modules/build-aux
will give the non-expert a clue that it's related to
the already-existing build-aux directory.
