As a start, yes.  We also need to come up with a way to annotate for
`(tiny change)', and to override typos without changing history.

And then we need to patch gitlog-to-changelog so that it produces correct
ChangeLog entries when it encounters those annotations.

That would be very nice!

Before we can pursue any of that though, we might like to fiddle with
gitlog-to-changelog and add appropriate annotations to the 2010 Libtool
commits to ensure we can rebuild our current ChangeLog from the git
commit logs.

Really, I'm just throwing that all out there so it isn't forgotten... I
have plenty of unfinished patches backed up on the use-gnulib branch
already to be able to tackle anything else in earnest until a few weeks
after the release at the earliest.
