Given that (IIRC) "(C)" has no legal meaning, isn't this ("Copyright"
with no "(C)") the preferred form?
It is correct (to the best of my knowledge) that the "(C)" is
insignificant. It is harmless to have it, though. It should be neither
required nor forbidden.
