Probably.  You'd have to look.

Unless you are checking in changes for upstream gnulib,
this change would not force you to learn about or use git.

As with coreutils, if/when we switch gnulib to another version control
system, we would require that the current CVS repository remain
sync'd (automatically) with the new master (e.g., git) repository.
